Composed by Wayne Hugoboom, a professor of music at USF in 1960, the USF Alma Mater was first used in 1961. Hugoboom won a USF song competition and received a check for $250 for coming up with the tradition-making words and music.

How to Make Sports Inspired Drinking Glasses

Here it is guys! My first video in my first ever web series. Initially I was going to do a series of videos on one subject, but after REALLY thinking about it I decided to just go with what I know best and that is how to make stuff! I love crafting and thought a series of crafting and how to videos would be a ton of fun and every week I plan to load a new video of a craft I've done and show you how you can make it too! Fan Craft Idea- Bulls Themed Candle Holder

 

I found an awesome project on Pinterest and decided to take it and make it Bulls themed by changing the colors from blue and white to green and gold!!! All you need to recreate one for yourself is a plain glass candle holder and some puffy paint. Then, simply add dots in a pattern, let it dry and you're done!

Fan Craft Idea- Crayon on Canvas

This crayon on canvas craft was "pinspired" by a project I found on Pinterest.  Basically all I did to make this a Bulls worthy craft was change the crayon colors to green and gold and used gold colored flowers. I used an 8X10 piece of canvas, the flowers came from Wal-Mart and the crayons came from Publix. The flowers were actually leftover from my Bulls Wreath :) Check out the Bulls Wreath HERE!!

To get the "splash" effect with the crayons I glued them onto the canvas and then took a hair dryer to them to melt them all over the canvas. After that I just hot glued the flowers onto the splashed crayons.

FREE Bulls Fan Fest 8/19/12

Save the Date! Bulls Fan Fest is Sunday, August 19, 2012 !!!!

From the USF Bulls Sports Site:

The USF Fan Fest at Raymond James Stadium will return for 2012 on Sunday, Aug. 19 (Time TBD). The event is FREE for all attendees with parking available in Lot 4, so grab your footballs, hats, jerseys and any other memorabilia and join us for a day with the USF Football team.

There will be plenty of opportunities for autographs and pictures with your favorite Bulls. In addition, the field at Raymond James will be filled with interactive experiences, which will offer plenty of fun and excitement. Also, fans will be able to sit in available seats, meet with our sales staff and lock in their 2012 tickets on site.

GoUSFBulls.com will continue to release information on Fan Fest as we get closer to the event, so continue to check back.

Fan Craft Idea- USF Wreath

Looking for a fun and creative way to show your neighbors that you are a Bulls fan? Consider making a custom wreath!! This photo is one I actually made myself! I took all the green and gold beads I got at Gasparilla and from Guavaween and hot glued them onto a simple wooden wreath I snagged from the dollar store. I took some yellow flowers that I bought at Wal-Mart for $0.97 and glued those on. To fill the last little gap I grabbed a piece of wood from Michaels for $0.30 and slapped a piece of scrapbook paper onto it and wrote "Go Bulls!" on it. I then found some USF stickers I had purchased at Jo-Ann's last year and added those to the little sign to complete my wreath. Then, all I had to do was slip the wreath onto a wreath holder I got from the Dollar Tree and voila! I had myself a USF Wreath for under $5!!

Fan Craft Idea- Custom Bulls Shoes

 

I saw these AWESOME custom heels on Pinterest and they were loaded from a site called The Style Ref. Sadly, I can't find them on that website anymore but this would be a fun fan craft to create yourself!!! What I would recommend to make these is to grab a cheap pair of shoes and get acrylic paints, glitter and clear spray paint. Draw out how you want it to look on paper and then draw it on the shoe. Paint it with the acrylic paints and then while the paint is still wet sprinkle a little bit of glitter on it. Once the shoes are 100% dry (I would let them dry overnight or even 24 hours) spray them with the clear spray paint to seal the glitter and paint. Then let them dry 12-24 hours again before wearing them.

Tailgate Recipe Idea: Football Deviled Eggs

 

To add a twist to traditional deviled eggs, why not add a few pieces of green onion and make the eggs look like footballs? Got this idea from Southern Living Magazine and I think it's just great! Click HERE for a classic deviled eggs recipe.
